I have transitioned from a Costume Design student, wanting a Masters of Library Science, to an Environmental Engineering Technology student.
I will not go into details about how/when/why I switched fields, but I will say that this is for the best and I am really excited for a new chapter in my life and I am grateful for the enormous amounts of support I've received from family and friends.
Things to know about me:
1. I still think like a designer (my mother was a seamstress who always said to my brother - an engineer: "Engineering and sewing go hand-in-hand! You get your talent from me!").
2. An MLIS (Masters of Library and Information Science) is not completely out of the question. If I make enough money in the future, I may (or may not) go back to school. Right now, it's not possible.
3. Science and Math have always scared the crap out of me. I was pretty okay at some of it in middle and high school, but they were not my favorite. Art, writing, and languages were always my strong points. I'm going to be using all sorts of different brain cells for this major (if not losing some).
I will hopefully be able to update this at least once a week about my adventures from the Design Lab to the Chem Lab. It will also be therapeutic to type out issues/problems I may be having in a class or to focus on what I've learned.
....Now, let's talk about how Not-So-Basic Calculus is...
